Helping you connect your dots…
In my work I have come to understand why innovating in medicine is so difficult. It is primarily because the cultures are not only radically different - but often they are fundamentally opposed. Just as a truly exceptional translator can walk seamlessly between two cultures, my ability to bridge the medical and design worlds is unique - and a great service to my clients.
“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.”
- attributed to Henry Ford
This quote, often attributed to Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motor company, really illustrates the difficulty in finding the right people to ask the questions that you need answers to. I consult both as a designer with a in-depth knowledge of medicine, and a physician that truly understands design.
If you are a clinician struggling with a particular problem or you have the beginnings of an idea and want help designing a solution.
If you are a solo engineer/designer, an early startup or a well-established company looking for medical expertise that can truly understand the potential of their vision and help them realize it.
If you are a design consultancy that has all the requisite design skills but missing the medical knowledge that would really help your client.

mDoc Healthcare LLC is an early stage digital health social enterprise focused on sub-Saharan Africa which aims to provide people living with chronic disease with an integrated care management platform by providing 24/7 access via mobile and web platforms to healthcare providers. mDoc’s initial focus will be Diabetes Type II, Hypertension and co-morbid Depression.
We harness a 3 pillar approach to optimize the care experience for people living with chronic disease. First, we provide all patients a dedicated multi-disciplinary team (peer coach, physician, nurse, nutritionist and pharmacist)) which works with them to address their needs. Secondly, we provide e-tools and education to help promote lifestyle modifications. Lastly, given all patients will need in person care, we provide them with access to our geo-coded facility database of licensed facilities and providers and help them schedule appointments.
